ICAZ Membership

Credit Card Payments

You can pay your ICAZ membership dues using a credit card through an on-line service of eBay called PayPal (currently available in more than 50 countries). By choosing this payment option you will need to log on to PayPal (https://www.paypal.com), set up an account, and then charge the funds to your credit card or you can link your new account to your checking. Details are provided below.

The cost for using PayPal’s service is 3.9% of the transaction amount in US Dollars plus $.30 (see comparisons below). This cost is considerably cheaper than sending funds by wire transfer, but please note that ICAZ will continue to accept checks in US$, UK£, and €uros drawn on banks in countries using those currencies.

DISCLAIMER: Using your credit card or bank account on the Internet entails some risk of credit card/bank account fraud; if this risk is not acceptable to you, please use some other form of payment (e.g., check or wire transfer).

USING PAYPAL

Step 1: PayPal Account Setup (this procedure may vary from country to country)

  • If you already have a PayPal account, log on to your account at https://www.paypal.com, select the “Send Money” option, then move on to Step 2 below.
  • If you DO NOT have a PayPal account, go to https://www.paypal.com, select the “Send Money” option and follow PayPal’s instructions on how to set up an account. If you would like additional detailed instructions on how to do this, please e-mail a request to: icaztreasurer@comcast.net.

Step 2: Fill out the PayPal “Send Money” form as follows:

Recipient e-mail address: "icaztreasurer@comcast.net"
Amount: <see table below>
Currency: "U.S. Dollars” <Please send U.S. Dollars ONLY>
Type: "Goods (other)" <or "Services" but not anything else>
Subject: "New ICAZ Membership" OR "ICAZ Membership Renewal"
Note: <include member name, member ID number if known, type of membership, number of years joining or renewing for>

Step 3: Additional documentation

  • Please make sure that you have filled out and sent in an ICAZ membership form. On the form you should have checked “PayPal” as your method of payment. The form may be posted (address printed on the bottom of form), faxed (617-495-7535), or e-mailed (as an attachment to icaztreasurer@comcast.net).
  • Once your PayPal transaction has cleared, you will receive an e-mail confirmation from “service@paypal.com.” Please print out and retain a copy of this confirmation for your records.
