Calendar of Events—2013 Meetings

JAN 3 – 5, 2013

The call for papers is now open for the International Conference on Foodways and Heritage . The conference is organized by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Department of Anthropology) in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair Safeguarding and Promotion of Cultural Food Heritages (University François- Rabelais of Tours, France). APRIL 14 – 20, 2013

The 9th meeting of Worked Bone Research Group will be convened by the Henan Administration of Cultural Heritage, and the Henan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology in Zhengzhou City, Henan province, China from April 14- 20, 2013. This will be the first meeting of the Worked Bone Research Group to be held outside of Europe! Please download the first communication for further information. The registration deadline is January 31, 2013.

MAY 31 – JUNE 2, 2013

The Animal Palaeopathology Working Group meeting will be held at the Osteoarchaeological Research Laboratory, Department of Archaeology and Classical Studies, University of Stockholm, Sweden. The theme of the conference is Patterns of skeletal pathology in wild and domestic animals in the past and present. See the APWG website for more information.

JUNE 23 – 28, 2013

The 11th international meeting of the ASWA Working Group will take place June 23rd to June 28th, 2013, at the Mount Carmel Campus of the University of Haifa, Israel. For more information, please email the organizers. Provisional titles are due before January 01, 2013.

JULY 12 – 13, 2013

The 2013 NABO General Meeting will be held at the Stefansson Arctic Institute on the campus of University of Akureyri, Iceland. Visit the NABO website for more information.

SEPTEMBER 16 – 21, 2013

The 17th Meeting of the ICAZ Fish Remains Working Group (FRWG) will be held at the Tallinn University, Estonia. There will be three days of presentations and three days of excursion presumably to the West Estonian islands. The call of papers and registration will start in October 2012.
