ICAZ International Committee Meetings

ICAZ International Committee Meetings are held once every two years, following the cycle of ICAZ General Meetings. During the year of an ICAZ General Meeting, the International Committee Meeting is held in conjunction with the larger conference. At this time the focus of the meeting is primarily on ICAZ business as specified by the ICAZ Constitution.

International Committee Meetings held between General Meetings usually consist of a two day meeting in which elected International Committee members give brief presentations and discuss ICAZ business, particularly that related to the holding of the next International Conference. The organizer determines the theme for the meeting. Organizers are encouraged to choose a topic of general importance to the practice of archaeozoological research, the dissemination of the results of archaeozoological research, and the impact of our field on the scientific community as a whole.
