Description

The 16th international meeting of the Fish Remains Working Group (FRWG) will be held in Israel, from October 23rd to October 31tst 2011.

The aim of the meeting is to get-together researchers involved in the study of fish exploitation in the past from different scientific disciplines and to encourage both formal and informal interactions. Located between different aquatic habitats the meeting will travel between the Mediterranean Sea, Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) and the Red Sea. The meeting will include a visit to the National Natural History Collections housed at the Edmond J. Safra, Givat Ram Campus of the Hebrew University, Jerusalem; to the Israel Museum, Jerusalem; to the Aquarium at the Coral World-Eilat; to the Dolphin Reef-Eilat; and to the Israel Oceanographic and Limnological Research institution in Eilat.
